Meadowside Children's Books was started by a small group of squirrels who, no longer content with living inside the meadow itself, took the radical decision to move out, and live beside it. They named their new home Meadowside and set up camp with nothing but a small collection of computers, a table football and one very comfy chair (well the head squirrel would need something comfortable to sit on). Over the years, other squirrels came from the meadow (it is well known that there are more nuts at Meadowside than in the meadow) and decided to join them on their mission:

To make beautiful, bright and innovative books for children, books that would truly last for life. After an incredible start they have gone on to make award-winning picture books and are now making books for older children as their readers grow up with them. They have grown surely and steadily to become a force to be reckoned with and now have very many comfy chairs.

Clive likes green. Green is what Clive likes. "Clive, you're a cabbage," his sister laughs. "You're a sprout, you're a bean, you're a little green pea."

But Clive of course was none of these.

A brilliantly witty, familiar and
well-observed depiction of sibling relationships.
