Chae started writing silly stuff for children in his 20s and has now amassed a sprawling collection of literally two or three picture book stories. He works as a sub-editor for a national newspaper based in Dundee and lives in a quiet fishing village in Fife with his wife Corinna, daughter Eilidh, three cats, a goldfish and numerous uninvited spiders. Eilidh wants some giant land snails, but Chae isn't so keen. Chae's greatest claim to fame is once appearing in an episode of Channel 4's Location, Location, Location. They didn't find him a house. He plays guitar and harmonica (but don't hold that against him) and writes and records his own songs. In a recent survey, 9 out of 10 cats said they preferred Chae Strathie. He dreams of one day going to Great Yarmouth.
