Mark Sperring has studied at both Bath Academy of Art and later Camberwell College of Art, before working creating picture books and music in London for many years. He now lives on the Jurassic Coast, where he grew up. He lives with his partner and their son, Oliver. They are almost entirely self-sufficient growing their own food and running their car on recycled chip oil. Green came to Mark after reading an inspiring article about Maurice Sendak.
